Special Education Teacher Boot Camp

2022 - 2023 Virtual Series

Description:

Are you new to early childhood special education? Could you use some support to boost your confidence as you start the new school year? If so, come join the New ECSE Teacher Boot Camp! This ongoing professional learning experience will provide you with the knowledge and resources you need to do your new job well. You will engage in virtual, new learning alongside other new ECSE teachers from across Wisconsin. Each session will be facilitated by an Early Childhood Technical Assistance Specialist and will include guest speakers from the DPI. 

 

Who Should Participate?

Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Teachers who have been working in ECSE for two years or less. 

 

Topics Include But Are Not Limited To:

  • IEPs
  • Evaluations
  • Specially Designed Instruction
  • Collaboration and Teaming
  • Transition and Child Find

 

Event Registration:

This no cost, virtual  Boot Camp is offered through the Early Learning Technical Assistance & Implementation Grant funded through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

  • Sept 14th: 3:30-4:30

  • Oct 12th: 3:30-4:30

  • Nov 9th: 3:30-4:30

  • Jan 11th: 3:30-4:30

  • Feb 8th: 3:30-4:30

  • March 8: 3:30-4:30

  • April 12th; 3:30-4:30

  • May 10th; 3:30-4:30

*Attendance at all sessions is expected

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable).Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.
