Equity in the Math Classroom
Grades K-12

How do we ensure that every teacher is committed to high expectations for what students should learn in the math classroom?  Join us to explore the necessary instructional shifts that will help prepare all students for the future.

  • We will discuss the changes that need to be made so that mathematical proficiency is expected for each and every student in Wisconsin.
  • We will examine instructional practices that build the Standards for Mathematical Practice so that every student has access to and can engage in meaningful, challenging, and rigorous mathematics.
  • We will dive into Wisconsin’s guiding principles for the teaching of mathematics and learn how to meet the needs of all students in our math classrooms.
