New Educators (Years 1-3) and Mentors will engage in learning using the book Unlearning: Changing Your Beliefs and Your Classroom with UDL. This 4-part series will focus on how can we unlearn our old ways and learn how to support the variability of all our learners in a flexible environment. Learn more about the book here. This series will consist of 3, 1-hour after school reflection and discussion sessions, and 1 in-person 3 hour session which will include final reflection and planning for starting the school year right for 22-23. The first 20 people to register will receive a free copy of the book. This professional learning series is free to all through the Peer Review Mentor Grant.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Participants will engage in reflection and discussion around the book Unlearning.
  • Participants will learn about Universal Design for Learning and its foundation of creating Expert Learners.
  • Participants will plan for setting the stage for learning in the 22-23 school year.
