New Teacher Network & Seminar Series
Being a beginning teacher can be overwhelming and challenging. Join us for this interactive seminar series that connects you to other initial educators to network with while providing you with easy to implement strategies and ideas to help alleviate the stress of being an initial educator.
This workshop series will focus on all aspects of the teacher educator standards. We will explore the models of Educator Effectiveness to address the following:
- Instructional planning and delivery
- Student achievement & Grading and assessment
- Working with diverse populations
- The classroom environment
- Student engagement Student behavior
- Parent/family engagement
Learn tactics to successfully guide you through your beginning years of teaching!
Each workshop date will include time for sharing, networking, coaching, and answering questions you may have.
The series will include a Book Study to structure and guide learning using the book, "The New Teacher's Guide to Overcoming Common Challenges" by Anna M. Quinzio-Zafran. Book is included in registration.
October 20, 2022: in-person, 9:00am - 2:00pm
November 28, 2022: via Zoom, 3:30-pm - 4:30pm
January 23, 2023: via Zoom, 3:30-pm - 4:30pm
February 27, 2023: via Zoom, 3:30-pm - 4:30pm
Registration Fee: $50 for complete series, including the book "The New Teacher's Guide to Overcoming Common Challenges" by Anna M. Quinzio-Zafran.
