What is a charter school and how do you develop it for optimal performance? What should be in a charter school contract and how should it be negotiated? What is the right authorizing process and how does the authorizer carry out charter school evaluation and compliance?

This workshop is intended to answer these questions and more. Representatives of the Wisconsin Charter School Association will present practical and proven best practices in implementing the charter approval process. If you are proposing a charter school or will be in a position of approving a charter contract you will want to attend this workshop.

Following the guidelines of the National Association of Charter School Authorizers this workshop will review the Principles and Standards for Quality Charter School Authorization.
 

Target Audience: Charter school planning teams, current planning grantees, administrators, school board members, teachers and others responsible for authorizing and establishing a successful charter school. Anyone interested in the charter school authorization process.

First 50 participants are free of charge. All others pay $25. We will also provide the first 50 participants with a mileage reimbursement.

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received by the registration deadline date stated on the event for a refund to be issued. Persons registering and not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee (substitutions are accepted). CESA 12 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email or phone if a cancellation occurs.

Weather conditions:

If a workshop has been canceled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. Participants will be notified via email through myQuickReg.com if a cancellation occurs. Please make sure all your contact information is correct on myQuickReg.com
