COST:  Free to CESA 12 Carl Perkins Member School Districts - Bayfield, Butternut, Chequamegon, Drummond, Hurley, Maple, Mellen, Mercer, Northwood, Phillips, Solon Springs, South Shore, Superior, Washburn, & Winter (Lunch provided free of charge).

$25.00 for Carl Perkins Non-member School Districts – Ashland, & Hayward (includes lunch).

 

AUDIENCE:  The Wisconsin Career Pathways website is now open to teachers, parents and students.  Are your Career Pathways (Programs of Study) posted on this website?  Most Career and Technical Education teachers have developed programs of study that relate to their discipline; but some have not posted these programs of study on the State website.

 

THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR:

·      CTE Teachers who have not yet developed a Program of Study.

·      CTE Teachers who have developed a Program of Study, but have not published it on the state website.

·      CTE Teachers who want to develop additional Programs of Study related to their discipline.

·      Guidance counselors who want to learn more about the state website and how Program of Study are developed.

 

Teachers who have developed and published a program of study are eligible to apply for funds through the CESA 12 Carl Perkins Minigrant Program. 

 

OUTLINE OF THE DAY:

 

·      Introduction to Career Clusters and Pathways (Programs of Study)

·      WI Model of Carl Perkins Funds

·      Components of a Program of Study

·      Use of Labor Market Data & Course Offerings to select a POS

·      Developing a Program of Study

·      Introduction to Wisconsin Career Pathways Website

·      WITC Pathways

·      Publishing your POS on the Career Pathways Website

·      Work session to develop and publish your POS

 

EQUIPMENT & DATA YOU WILL NEED FOR THE WORKSHOP:  You may bring your own computer or use one of CESA 12’s computers.  Also, bring a copy of your school district graduation requirements and the high school course offerings.

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received by the registration deadline date stated on the event for a refund to be issued. Persons registering and not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee (substitutions are accepted). CESA 12 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email or phone if a cancellation occurs.

Weather conditions:

If a workshop has been canceled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. Participants will be notified via email through myQuickReg.com if a cancellation occurs. Please make sure all your contact information is correct on myQuickReg.com
