FREE to all participants

In accordance with Act 30, CESA 5 and the Nathan and Esther Pelz Holocaust Education Center (HERC) are offering a FREE professional development opportunity to provide tools to teach the Holocaust and other genocides. The first day of this training will provide educators with background knowledge on the Holocaust, as well as tangible examples for how they can use this material in their classrooms. On the second day, educators will conduct their own research on a different case of genocide using the demonstrated framework. Lastly, we will talk about methodology, the dos, and don’ts of Holocaust education. This workshop will leave educators with the information and resources needed to implement the new Holocaust and genocide mandate.

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
