The 4th Annual CESA 6 Spring into Success Summit in 2022 will provide you with the option to attend virtually in 2 different ways! You will not only be participating with public school staff members from WI, but schools districts and attendees from around the world!

BIO: Jared Cooney Horvath (PhD, MEd) is a neuroscientist, educator, and author of the best-selling book Stop Talking, Start Influencing: 12 Insights from Brain Science to Make Your Message Stick. He has conducted research and lectured at Harvard University, Harvard Medical School, the University of Melbourne, and over 250 schools internationally. He currently serves as Director of LME Global: a team dedicated to bringing the latest brain and behavioral research to teachers, students, and parents alike.

During this talk, teachers will learn the ways they can begin to break their cycle of burnout by practicing self-care that takes them far beyond the comforts of bubble baths, yoga and chocolate. This talk will enlighten administrators and their teachers to discover simple, actionable changes they can make immediately to grow through their burnout and become happier, more fulfilled people. Teachers and administrators will leave this talk knowing what they can do to make progress in their personal and professional lives in order to grow through their burnout, thus creating more supported and engaged classrooms.

Personal Climate & Culture

Gerry will focus on how to build a strong climate and culture within your school by first building a defining climate and culture within yourself. Gerry will encourage educators to improve their instruction through personal climate and culture strategies and talk about how administrators can lead staff in a positive and constructive manner. Gerry utilizes commanding humor to support the "walk away challenge" to be the best you can be on a daily basis.

BIO: Gerry Brooks is principal at an elementary school in Lexington, Kentucky. His educational experience includes six years in the classroom, two years as an intervention specialist, and 12 years as an administrator. He is a passionate public speaker whose focus is on encouraging and helping teachers improve their instructional abilities. He also has a desire to help administrators successfully lead their staff. An encouraging speaker, he has spoken to educational groups all around the nation. His focus is on encouraging teachers to improve their instruction through personal climate and culture strategies. He desires to help administrators focus on how to lead all staff in a positive and constructive manner. His following on social media has developed through humorous videos that focus on real-world educational experiences. He is currently followed on these social media sites by over 500,000 people.

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable).Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.
