Equity 101 for Teams: How to Create Spaces Where All Belong

The goal of Equity 101 is to gain a deeper understanding of equity and cultural competence while allowing teams to work collaboratively to create action steps for their schools and districts so that all students feel a greater sense of belonging.
Participants will…

Take and receive results from the Intercultural Development Inventory, which measures cultural competency

Receive a customized plan how to increase their cultural competence;

Gain a common understanding of vocabulary: diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging;

Be provided team time to create/edit their mission, vision, and core values;
-
Analyze school-wide data (academic, behavior, demographics);
-
Plan how to communicate with the school board and community stakeholders about equity work and its importance;
-
Develop timelines, staff meetings and professional learning opportunities for the district/school.

Cancellation Policy:
Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable).Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.
