Judith B. O’Loughlin is the author of three books and chapters in several other edited volumes focusing on the needs of and strategies for working with newcomers and students with interrupted education. Her latest publication: Supporting the Journey of English Learners after Trauma is a practical resource to help educators understand the possible traumatic backgrounds of their students and how that could be affecting their academic, social, and emotional lives.
This webinar will focus on three chapters from her book:

It’s impact on their learning both academic and SEL

Strategies to help learners move beyond trauma
Ms. O’Louhghlin has been a frequent presenter at TESOL, NABE, CABE, NJTESOL, CATESOL. She has served in leadership roles for both TESOL and CATESOL advocating for the learner and working with general education educators to help them learn how to support the EL specialist and the students they serve.

Cancellation Policy:
Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable).Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.
