Preparing your School District for Cybersecurity Attacks

In this engaging session, SecurityStudio’s President Ryan Cloutier will talk about what school districts need to do to have effective protection against cyber-attacks and cybercrime, from a technical perspective. Ryan will discuss how to build a solid foundation for your security program, how to do risk management, the basics of Incident Response Planning, and new things you are going to need to do for your cyber liability insurance. He will cover the relevant laws and notification requirements for the state of Pennsylvania and walk you through what school district cyber investigation looks like. Ryan will cover some of the most common security technology, such as cybersecurity Risk management tools,  Asset management tools, End point protection, Multifactor Authentication, Intrusion prevention and detection systems, Data loss prevention systems, and more. Ryan will give you the necessary information to go back to your district fully equipped to take the next practical step in your security journey.

Take away points:

You will learn what you can do in the next 30 days to reduce the chance you are the victim of cybercrime, and if you find yourself a victim of cybercrime, you will learn how to recover from it.
