CTE Course: Classroom Management

In this course, you will learn how to maintain a positive classroom climate through proactive social and emotional awareness of your diverse students, organization, and behavior management.  You will review examples of student and teacher psychological and emotional reactions in the classroom and how students can be adversely affected by disruptions, making learning difficult for them.  You will learn strategies to make your student-teacher relationships stronger, as well as how to effectively resolve conflict so students are able to work together within groups or teams.  You will learn strategies for technology implementation and continuous improvement for yourself and your own practices, including PBIS, the prevention of bullying, and a focus on school safety.  You will additionally learn tips, techniques and best practices to increase student motivation and participation in your classroom.
