Nothing is more important for education today than beginning to make 21st Century Skills a reality.  This program will help your leadership team explore the possibilities, tools, and skills necessary for 21st Century Technology infused Leadership. Up to three graduate credits available for an additional $200 per credit.

This CESA #4-based package provides three days of high-quality administration professional development in technology for a team of your district leadership team. These workshops will address Web 2.0 topics and be aligned to the five newly “refreshed 2009 ISTE NETS for Administrators”:

1. Inspire Excellence Through Transformational Leadership
2. Establish a Robust Digital Age Learning Culture
3. Advance Excellence in Digital Age Professional Practice
4. Ensure Systemic Transformation of the Educational Enterprise
5. Model and Advance Digital Citizenship


Your leadership team will learn about and brush up on the ever-changing world of Web 2.0. The tools of the Web are changing learning all over the planet. This series of workshops will help guide your team in using these tools to:
• Understand the changing nature of our students and learning
• Create a personal learning network to keep you up to date professionally
• Stay in touch with your leadership team, staff, school boards, parents, and larger community
• Integrate Web 2.0 tools into your schools’ learning environment safely
• Provide the necessary leadership to help your staff transition into new ways of teaching and engaging their students


This hands-on series of workshops for your leadership team will help you put the world of Web 2.0 tools to work for you and your team. Here are just some of the possible Web 2.0 tools and topics we will explore with your team: Google Tools, Blogs, Twitter, Social Networking, RSS feeds, Video Conferencing, Skype, Online Photos and Video, Collaborative Notes, Podcasting, Screen Capturing, Online Polls and Surveys, Online Movie Making, Voice Threads, Safety in the Web 2.0. World, Digital Copyright Issues, Cell Phones and Mobile Devices, Policy and Procedure Discussion and more.

Registration begins at 8:30 am
Workshop Time: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

 

Up to 3 Viterbo Credits are available for an additional $200 per credit (1) Credit per day. Participants can complete Viterbo Registration and payment the day of the workshop. University credit will be awarded based on the expectation that you attend the entire workshop and complete all assignments.

Please Note: Each person must register separately online. There are 2 steps for a new user: Create your user profile then click on the “All Events” tab to search and register for this event. Existing users can log in using their email address and password.

Participant Cancellation Policy: You must contact CESA 4 to cancel attendance one week prior to the scheduled event unless otherwise stated in the individual event details. CESA 4 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 4 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. CESA 4 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot.


Dietary Restrictions: Because of the number of meals served, number of ingredients used, and food product changes from vendors, we cannot guarantee dietary restrictions as indicated in a user's myQuickReg profile will be accommodated. Participants with dietary restrictions such as food allergies should plan to bring their own refreshments.


Weather Conditions: If a workshop has been cancelled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. If weather conditions are questionable, please call CESA 4 Voice Mail at (608) 786-4800; Toll Free (800) 514-3075. A message will be posted regarding workshop weather cancellations.


Additional Accommodations: If you need an accommodation to participate including interpreter services (sign language or other spoken language) please email the workshop contact to set up these services. A two-week notice is appreciated.
