Create Authentic Literacy and Student-Creation Opportunities in which ALL Students See Themselves and Lift Their Voices

Learn how to lift up identity and non-standardized language in print and multimodal texts students read and create. Learn about the best-vetted resources for finding suitable print texts for these purposes, digital curation of multimodal texts, how to “read” texts that aren’t traditional print, and explore ways students can share their identities and non-standardized language through digital compositions. Direct connections to the updated ELA and SS standards will be embedded.
