These sessions are designed to deepen understanding of content and instructional practices through active participation in effective professional development related to the professional Wisconsin Educator Standards. Each session engages the learner by modeling active engagement strategies, exploring ways to meet the needs of all learners, and providing opportunities to collaborate with experts in the field. Participants will build a strong personalized learning network with other new teachers that provides support. Also, participants will receive a copy of “Management in the Active Classroom,” a valuable tool for building a strong SEL-focused classroom culture.
Series details:
There will be four in-person sessions throughout the year. We will also have monthly one-hour, synchronous virtual check-ins offering discussion with SEL experts, tech integration specialists, content experts, and more. Using a hybrid approach, participants will have access to their network of colleagues and supportive resources in between in-person sessions.
Cost for the 8-session series (includes lunch for in-person events):

$150 for CESA 9 CSI Members
$250 for non-CESA 9 CSI Members
Audience: Educators in their first year of service.
