Description: Looking for a new take on professional learning around supporting your multilingual learners? Join CESA 2 LCC Summer Book & Media Study -- Crossing Paths Series.

The art of storytelling will serve as our medium to learn about the language and cultures of our multilingual students and their families.
This 3- book series builds educators awareness for supporting linguistically and culturally diverse learners. They include the voices of authors who have lived these experiences. A collection of resources will accompany each book. These collections include artifacts such as poems, essays, articles, data, podcasts, videos and materials for classroom use. On the day of the book discussion, participants will have opportunities to engage in dialog, share ideas, and reflect. This professional learning supports culturally responsive teaching standards for speakers of other languages.

For each book, we will meet for a two-hour interactive book discussion. Sessions will be held via Zoom from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Sessions are not recorded. A link to relevant resources for the will be sent the first of the month for that month’s featured book.
