Welcome back! We are celebrating the CESA 10 Title I Fall Kickoff with a bonus book study. The media is creating a "learning loss" culture and this resource, Developing Growth Mindsets: Principles and Practices for Students' Potential, will help us create safe spaces for our striving students to thrive. In this three-part series we will network around how to grow neural networks, support positive engagement and energized learning, motivate growth mindset through goals and feedback, and learn teaching strategies that sustain growth mindset. All districts are welcome to participate in the book study, and those participating in service can attend at the member rate.

  • 9:00am - 12:00pm, September 22, 2021: we will network around workflow timelines and updates from DPI.
  • 12:30pm - 2:30pm, September 22, 2021: we will kick off the Developing Growth Mindsets: Principles and Practices for Students' Potential.
  • 3:30pm - 4:30pm, October 19, 2021: we will network around how to create a growth mindset specifically related to a Title I Schoolwide program based on information from our book study. This will be a virtual meeting.
  • 9:00am - 3:00pm, November 30, 2021: we will network around strategies implemented from this resource and collaborate on action planning for extending our learning.

Learning outcomes:

  • Examine fall timelines and work flow.
  • Network with colleagues.
  • Kickoff Developing Growth Mindsets: Principles and Practices for Maximizing Students' Potential.
  • Action Planning for implementing strategies learned in the book.

Each participant in our CESA 10 Title I service representing their school district, will receive a copy of Developing Growth Mindsets: Principles and Practices for Students' Potential. We look forward to this exciting collaborative opportunity!

 

The morning of September 22 is sponsored by the Title I Network and is free to all CESA 10 districts. All districts are welcome to attend the book study activities and those participating in the CESA 10 Title I service can attend at the member rate.
