Play-Based Literacy Opportunities: A “Make & Take” Workshop

Early childhood educators know the importance of play-based learning in child development. Designing and creating a classroom environment with an intentional array of play-based learning opportunities is essential. In this workshop, participants will explore ways to structure and support children’s language and literacy development in the classroom.

A portion of this workshop will be to network with other educators as well as to create a bank of “make and take” resources for use in the dramatic play area, creation station, writing center, and classroom library. Participants will leave feeling inspired, with new ideas and materials to elevate the level of purposeful play in the classroom.

Target Audience: Early Childhood, 4K, 5K Educators

Registration Fee: $130 for CESA 5 School Improvement Services Members
                             $250 for Non-Members
