Coaching for Improvement: Creating a Culture of Innovation, Adaptation, and Continuous Improvement

Three-day face-to-face workshop

To improve a district, school, or organization, every leader and team within that district, school, or organization will have to improve their performance. If every leader and team member is going to improve their performance, they will have to be coached.

All high-performing people have coaches. They don’t have coaches because they are bad or because they are novices; they have coaches because they are engaged in continuous improvement. Coaching helps those being coached maintain their focus and efforts on the goal for improvement.

Coaching is not just having a supportive conversation. Coaches are skilled at helping others think critically about their own thoughts, decisions, and actions. Everyone can learn how to be a coach. Develop the capacity of coaching within your district, school, or organization to create a culture of innovation, adaptation, and continuous improvement.

This workshop provides an application-based learning experience that enables learners to develop or enhance existing skills for coaching.

Participants in the Coaching for Improvement workshop will:

  • Examine their own communication and coaching abilities

  • Learn how to build relationships that enable effective coaching conversations

  • Develop solutions-focused conversational techniques

  • Discover approaches that influence success and increase motivation

  • Practice coaching conversations with a practical coaching routine

Participants must attend all three days to earn the certificate of completion

Please note: This is a face-to-face workshop there is not a virtual option

Cost: $300 for CESA 8 - CIA Member School Districts, $600 for all others
