Planned Events and Resources:

• Local business leaders who hire science majors discussing the type of work/careers available at different degree levels
• Content learning with invited experts in life science, physical science, and Earth and space science
• Update from the state science leader on current state policy and national trends 

At Each Meeting:

• Hands-on activity focusing on explicitly teaching/scaffolding Science and Engineering Practices (SEPs)
• Activities and discussions to dig deeper into developing student use of Crosscutting Concepts (CCC)
• Breakout sessions for life science, physical science, Earth, and space science collaboration
• Grade-level breakout sessions
• Sharing best practice
• Sharing materials
• Extending content learning

Instructor: JoAnn Miller, CESA 8

Cost: $100 per person, per meeting, for CESA 8-CIA Member School Districts.

     $200 per person, per meeting, for all others.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the scheduled date to receive a refund or avoid invoicing. CESA 8 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 8 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. Registered participants not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 8 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment or inclement weather. Participants will be notified via email through myQuickReg.com if a cancellation occurs.
