Shifting the Balance Virtual Book Study
7 Session Series

Science of Reading?  Balanced Literacy? The pendulum of education has swung back and forth and is swinging again. Experts agree that students need explicit and systematic instruction in reading foundational skills. Children also need joyful opportunities for the application and transfer of those skills into high-quality, authentic literature. Join other educators in the region as we learn and reflect together on where our beliefs fall within this pendulum swing and ultimately answer the question: what’s best for kids?

Book Included with Registration:
6 Ways to Bring the Science of Reading into the Balanced Literacy Classroom
