This two-day professional development workshop series will allow participants to build skills needed to create and run effective, collaborative, and inclusive co-taught classrooms.
It will begin by developing teachers' skills in the understanding of and implementation of inclusion and the importance of collaboration (whether or not you will be co-teaching or not). We will examine the different Co-Teaching Models, as laid out and used by Dr. Marilyn Friend and Dr. Andrea Honigsfeld. Teachers will be provided with tools to build and support ongoing collaboration, communication, and co-planning. Teachers will learn how to use the different co-teaching structures to meet the diverse needs of their students.
It would be ideal for teachers who will be co-teaching together to both be in attendance.
