PARAPROFESSIONAL WORKSHOP/TRAINING

This is a workshop presented by CESA 6 in Collaboration with Master Teacher ParaEducator PD Now!

PRESENTER: Mary Ann Hudziak   Director Student Success Center

This workshop is designed to provide support for paraprofessionals as they work with students, teachers, administrators and parents, and to successfully complete the training needed to meet the hiring requirements for working in a Title I Schoolwide or Targeted Assisted School.

The online coursework can be intimidating, so this workshop allows participants to begin the work in a supportive setting.  The workshop also provides an overview of each module.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Explore the paraprofessional role of providing instructional supports for students in reading, writing and math

  • Increase knowledge and skills in the areas of reading, writing and math

  • Begin the Master Teacher ParaEducator PD Now! modules (completion of the modules and assessments with a passing score will meet the Title I hiring requirements for  paraprofessionals)

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

  • K-12 paraprofessionals

REGISTRATION:

  • $140/person

  • $115/person for ESSA Consortium member districts

(includes the ParaEducator PD Now!)
