Digging Deeper into the NGSS with Bozeman Science (CANCELLED)

This workshop will focus on the best practices of NGSS Phenomenon-based instruction including; modeling instruction, argument-driven inquiry, phenomenon-based instruction, and the science and engineering practices contained in the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Special consideration will be given to the crosscutting concepts as both thematic and practical lenses that drive scientific inquiry. Participants will engage in scientific inquiry that is guided by authentic assessments and best practices. There will be an additional focus on mini-lessons as an explicit tool to teach the science practices and crosscutting concepts. Come and experience this form of 3-dimensional instruction with Paul Andersen. Explore the wonders of science as you rediscover the curiosity that guided your childhood. Teachers should come prepared to do science!

 

Participant Cancellation Policy: You must contact CESA #3 at least one week prior to the scheduled event to cancel and receive a full refund of your registration fee. Cancellations not received at least one week prior to the registered event will be charged the full registration fee. CESA #3 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot.
