Description: The focus of this book study is supporting high quality inclusionary opportunities for all students. We will use the book Building Blocks for Teaching Preschoolers with Special Needs: Third Edition to focus our inclusion work. Teams of regular and special education staff are encouraged to attend together focusing on preschool through 1st grades. Google folders and resources will be used to organize and share resources and graduate credit/continuing education hours are available upon request.

This is a statewide offering. You will access the book study itself through the on-line format Schoology and can complete this learning at your own pace. Opportunities to connect through Zoom meetings will deepen knowledge, understanding and support your use of strategies within your own work. Once registration is complete we will be in contact with how to support you with these zoom connections throughout the state. The dates listed are a starting point and as we work to support you regionally these may/can shift based on the groups availability.

The schedule includes:

  • Monday, March 22nd Launch, Problem Solving and Schoology info
  • Monday April 19th-Section 1
  • Monday May 17th-Section 2
