 Keynote Speaker: Dr. Bryan Pearlman

"You Are The Difference” is an important message for everyone who works with children and teens. Every adult in the building can be the one to make a profound difference in the life of a student. This keynote address will cover real-life case studies, effective strategies, and other items that can be implemented right away.

Dr. Bryan Pearlman is a veteran educator/school administrator, a mental health therapist, PD leader, keynote speaker, and adjunct professor. He is the author of two books: Maslow Before Bloom: Basic Human Needs Before Academics released in May 2020 & Whatever It Takes For All Students To Succeed In School and Life, released in January 2019. Dr. Pearlman is also the co-founder and board member of the mental health non-profit DSMHW.org. His expertise is helping all children to succeed, challenging behaviors, trauma, school improvement, mental health, and self-care. Dr. Pearlman has presented to over 50,000 people in the past two years. He is regularly asked to provide keynote addresses, featured presentations, and trainings for state, regional, and national organizations.

Breakout Sessions Include:

Basic Sign Language, Responding to Grief, Working with Traumatized Students, Compassion Fatigue, Building Relationships with Challenging Students, Math Strategies, Literacy Strategies, Protecting Students and Yourself in the Digital World, Increasing Student Independence, Suicide Prevention Strategies, and Understanding Anxiety.


Registration fee (includes breakfast and lunch):  $150 per person

CANCELLATION POLICY: Registrants receive a full refund if they cancel at least 2 weeks before the event. Because of commitments to the venue, presenters, vendors and participants, no refund of any kind, for any reason, will be given for cancellation requests received after July 26, 2021. Registrations ARE transferable within your organization. CESA 5 WILL NOT CANCEL THE EVENT DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registrants will be notified via email if cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. This policy replaces the cancellation policy stated below.

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
