What is Youth Mental Health First Aid?
Youth Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based training course designed to give members of the public key skills to identify and respond to signs of mental health concerns in youth, ages 12-18.
Role of Instructor
The primary role of instructors is to teach the Mental Health First Aid course. When they offer the course, instructors must teach the full course with fidelity to the core program model and key messages. Each instructor has a set of materials to help guide them through course facilitation.

PLEASE NOTE—Participants must:
- Apply to be accepted. Submit application no later than January 19, 2021 (future trainings will also be offered in 2021)

- Attend all days of training without exception (see flyer for virtual course outline)
- Review all instructor commitments in application prior to registering for training
OUTCOME:
- You are certified to train in Youth Mental Health First Aid. Trainings are designed for up to 30 participants with a co-trainer for each session.
- Your certification requires a minimum of three trainings per year to remain current.
Maximum Limit: 16 Participants
COST to instructors is FREE; this training is $1625.00 per instructor, funded by ESSER/CARES Act

Participant Cancellation Policy:
You must contact CESA 4 to cancel attendance one week prior to the scheduled event unless otherwise stated in the individual event details. CESA 4 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 4 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. CESA 4 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot.
Dietary Restrictions:
Because of the number of meals served, number of ingredients used, and food product changes from vendors, we cannot guarantee dietary restrictions as indicated in a user's myQuickReg profile will be accommodated. Participants with dietary restrictions such as food allergies should plan to bring their own refreshments.
Weather Conditions:
If a workshop has been cancelled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. If weather conditions are questionable, please call CESA 4 Voice Mail at (608) 786-4800; Toll Free (800) 514-3075. A message will be posted regarding workshop weather cancellations.
Additional Accommodations:
If you need an accommodation to participate including interpreter services (sign language or other spoken language) please email the workshop contact to set up these services. A two-week notice is appreciated.
