Crisis Prevention Initial Training (CPI)

The Initial Training is intended for individuals who have not been previously trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention or were trained more than 2 years ago. This training will be held in 2 parts. Day 1 will be a whole day virtual classroom event. Day 2 will be a half day in person training. Day 2 will be scheduled at a later date when it is safe to meet in person as determined by CESA #4. This is a 1 day virtual workshop from 8:30 - 3:00pm.

** At this time, we cannot guarantee that Day 2 training will be held during the 20-21 school year as an attempt to limit the spread of Covid-19.

PER CPI REQUIREMENTS, YOU WILL NOT BE CERTIFIED IN THE PHYSICAL HOLDS AND DISENGAGEMENT SKILLS UNTIL SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF DAY 2.

CPI materials will be delivered to your building prior to training.  These materials are required in order to attend the training.

Please register for the March 4th, 2021 training by February 18th to ensure delivery of the training materials to your building.  At the time of registration, please check to make sure your building information is current in in your My Quick Reg profile.

If you are unable to access your building to pick up your materials, please contact JoAnn Martin at jmartin@cesa4.org to make other arrangements.

** This will be a virtual event; the Zoom link will be sent the day prior to the event.

Your attendance and participation are mandatory for the entire training session in order to receive CPI certification. If you have other duties that interfere with these requirements, we ask that you please make arrangements to have those duties covered.

If you have any questions about or need to make changes to your registration, please contact JoAnn Martin at jmartin@cesa4.org.

ALL POLICIES APPLY UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN THE INDIVIDUAL EVENT DETAILS.

Participant Cancellation Policy: You must contact CESA 4 to cancel attendance one week prior to the scheduled event unless otherwise stated in the individual event details. CESA 4 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 4 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. CESA 4 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot.

Dietary Restrictions: Because of the number of meals served, number of ingredients used, and food product changes from vendors, we cannot guarantee dietary restrictions as indicated in a user's myQuickReg profile will be accommodated. Participants with dietary restrictions such as food allergies should plan to bring their own refreshments.

Weather Conditions: If a workshop has been cancelled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. If weather conditions are questionable, please call CESA 4 Voice Mail at (608) 786-4800; Toll Free (800) 514-3075. A message will be posted regarding workshop weather cancellations.

Additional Accommodations: If you need an accommodation to participate including interpreter services (sign language or other spoken language) please email the workshop contact to set up these services. A two-week notice is appreciated.

CESA 4 IS HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE.
