The Dual Language/Bilingual Bicultural Network provides high-quality professional development and program support for individuals and districts who are implementing or seeking to implement dual language and/or bilingual bicultural education for culturally and linguistically diverse learners. Join colleagues across the CESA 2 region and throughout Wisconsin to share ideas, resources, and expertise. Join Gretchen Lettau, Robin Rivas, Audrey Lesodak, and Tere Masiarchin as they lead our Dual Language/Bilingual Bicultural Network.

About the Facilitators: Gretchen Lettau joins CESA 2 as a consultant in the Language and Culture Center of Excellence supporting the areas of Language Acquisition, English Learners, and Dual Language Education. Gretchen has worked as a teacher and coordinator for 16 years with culturally and linguistically diverse populations. In additton to her work with school districts, Gretchen is a leader in the state in Dual Language and EL Education. Gretchen has taught EL classes for the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh as an adjunct professor, is a member of the statewide WIABE work group, and served as a member of Governor Evers Advisory Council to Support Linguistically Diverse Students statewide committee.




Audrey Lesondak joins CESA 2 as a consultant in the Language and Culture Center of Excellence after serving eight years as a consultant at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI). There, she implemented programs to support English Learners/Multilingual Learners including the ESEA Title III-A grant, the ACCESS for ELLs English Language Proficiency (ELP) Assessment, Immigrant Children and Youth Discretionary Grant, Seal of Biliteracy, and the Bilingual Bicultural Grant. Audrey has been engaged in cross-cultural work and experiences for more than 20 years. Growing up in Chicago, traveling, and working within the fields of education, and in the arenas of teaching English to speakers of other languages, affordable housing, and community development, she has engaged in teaching and learning (a lifelong process) through multicultural, cultural awareness, and culturally-responsive approaches.




Tere Masiarchin provides high quality and relevant professional development, needs assessment, and program support to school districts and teachers with culturally and linguistically diverse students. Tere comes to CESA 2 from CESA 6 where she was the Director of the Language and Culture Center.  Tere had previously spent 11 years in the Clintonville School District as the EL/Bilingual/Title III/21st CCLC Director and has been an adjunct professor at the UW-Green Bay. Tere is a national SIOP trainer and Thinking Maps Trainer.





Robin Rivas has worked as a teacher and administrator for 34 years with culturally and linguistically diverse populations. Robin is a certified ESL teacher and administrator who is bilingual (Spanish/English). She did her undergraduate work at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where she majored in education (ESL). Subsequently, she received a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, with an emphasis on multicultural education from UWM. Robin has recently received her Ed.D in curriculum, instruction, and assessment from Walden University with a research focus on RTI and English Learners.





Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a refund if they cancel prior to 3 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Cancellations must either be made on MyQuickReg or by emailing Because of our commitment to the presenter and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 3 working days prior to the event or who do not attend the event, will be billed the full fee. CESA 2 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via phone and email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. 

Inclement Weather Policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 2 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been cancelled due to weather conditions.
