Get YOUR district ready for pathways work by attending Pathways Module virtual training!
In K12 education, a career pathway is a series of connected career and technical education and training opportunities that move seamlessly into a postsecondary option for a specific career area. For our students, it is a PHYSICAL DOCUMENT which lays out a ready-made Academic and Career Plan in a specific career cluster area which takes them through high school and post-secondary opportunities into high-demand career options and a career ladder for advancement.
The Wisconsin Regional Career Pathways (RCP) approach is a statewide effort to deliver high-quality career pathways in high schools that reflect the needs and vision of a regional collaborative group of employers, educators, and economic and workforce development representatives. Join CESA 9 for two half-day training sessions introducing the Pathways Wisconsin model and associated DPI support for districts interested in offering state-endorsed regional career pathways. Learn the difference between local and state-endorsed pathways and the components your district needs to have in place for each. Then spend time with your pathways team personalizing the state-endorsed pathway map to reflect the opportunities at your school district.
Along with this overview training, please sign up for a follow-up planning session with your Pathway team on either December 4th from 9 to 11 a.m. at https://login.myquickreg.com/register/event/event.cfm?eventid=28131? or December 7th from 1 to 3 p.m. at https://login.myquickreg.com/register/agency/event/register_search.cfm?eventid=28132?
