Substitute Teacher Certification Training Winter 2021 Cohort
January 6, 2021 - February 3, 2021
This option is a four-week, self-paced online study course with weekly Wednesday facilitation
Upon completion of this course, participants will have a better understanding of:
- Basic school district and school policies and procedures
- The culture of schools and the teaching profession
- Health and safety issues, including handling medical emergencies
- Discipline, conflict resolution, and classroom management
- Techniques for starting a class
- Working with lesson plans
- Age-appropriate teaching strategies (including technology)
- Working with children with disabilities, including confidentiality issues
- Using the ELO system to secure a license

Dietary Restrictions: CESA #4 will make every attempt to accommodate dietary restrictrions as noted in a user's MyQuickReg profile; however, we encourage anyone with a dietary restriction or preference to bring food items in case the event menu cannot fully accommodate. Other Helpful Hints: Room temperatures vary from one workshop location to another, so bring a jacket or sweater for maximum comfort.
