Family Service Credential: Training of Trainers (VIRTUAL)

FAMILY SERVICE CREDENTIAL: 5-DAY VIRTUAL TRAINING OF TRAINERS  

DATES: Feb 1, 3, 5, 9, 11

HOURS: 8:30 - 4:00 p.m central time.

AUDIENCE: 

Interested persons, with appropriate skills and experience, who will implement the Family Service Credential within their local agency.

PREREQUISITES:

Recommended prerequisites for participants at this level include:

• In-depth direct service experience working with families
• Experience in training adults and knowledge of adult learning practices
• Prior participation in the 9-day Family Service Credential Direct Staff Training
• Commitment to participation in all 5-days of training
• NOTE: If you participated in T the T PRIOR to 2012 it is highly recommended that you attend the T the T again as a refresher and to ensure you are using the most up-to-date materials which have been aligned with Head Start Framework.

TRAINING OBJECTIVES:

Participants will:

• Experience the Family Service Credential content from the trainer facilitator’s perspective
• Learn and apply training & facilitation skills
• Learn how to integrate the knowledge of adult learning principles into the facilitation of the content
• Learn how to implement the assessment and portfolio component of the Family Service Credential
• Assess and reflect on personal facilitation capacities
• Receive follow-up individualized mentoring during back-home implementation
• College credit available in some locations

COST:  $1000/person (includes all training materials)

THIS CANCELLATION POLICY OVERRIDES THE POLICY LISTED BELOW:

Family Service Credential Full Refund if canceled MORE than 10 working days before training. Participants who cancel LESS than 10 working days, or for any reason do not attend, will be billed the full fee. Substitutions are allowed within the same agency.

This cancellation policy supersedes the policy listed below.

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
