THIS IS AN ASYNCHRONOUS  EVENT WITH NO SPECIFIC MEETING TIME. 

PARTICIPANTS MUST BE REGISTERED IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THE LOG IN INFORMATION.

Participants will examine and review the research on restorative practices in schools.

Discussion on the blog will focus on the following:

  • Positive outcomes for students and teachers
  • Reflectional on the procedures and expectations for student behavior that encourages positive interpersonal skills
  • Identify what needs to be in place in order to embed restorative practices

The second half of the seminar will focus on Restorative Circles, with opportunities to do the following:

  •  Examine stories from classrooms and schools that use circles
  •  Use of the restorative justice and the social discipline window
  •  Discussion of the restorative practices continuum
  •  Develop practical steps to implement circles in your classroom.

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received by the registration deadline date stated on the event for a refund to be issued. Persons registering and not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee (substitutions are accepted). CESA 12 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email or phone if a cancellation occurs.
