Educator & Paraprofessional Learning Series - Social Emotional Learning Reboot?

Learners will develop an understanding of social and emotional learning as a process through which children and adults acquire and apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions. Participants will understand the importance of children and adults setting and achieving positive goals, feeling and showing empathy for others, and establishing and maintaining positive relationships.
Learners will evaluate the impact social and emotional learning has as part of the learning equation that helps children succeed in school and life. With social and emotional skills, children can manage their feelings, build healthy relationships, and navigate social environments. Participants will assess the impact of strong SEL training and practice on children developing the skills needed to prepare them for the world. Facilitated by: Marci Waldron-Kuhn.
