Initial educators and their supervisors in CESA 5 have identified that they need more PD in many
areas of becoming an effective educator.

The most notable areas include classroom/behavior management; restorative practices; and teaching ELs, and other struggling learners. Mentors and coaches have identified that they need more PD in not only deepening their knowledge base but also helping to support initial educators in the areas of classroom/behavior management, restorative practices, and with teaching EL's, etc. They have also identified that they need more PD in how to observe an initial educator, record notes, and provide high quality feedback that helps improve teacher practice/student outcomes.
The Coaching & Mentoring Academy will focus on those areas identified as needs to improve teacher practice and how Coaches and Mentors can facilitate growth in teacher practice.
Each meeting will focus on different topics based on the needs and wants of the group as well as focusing on topics that will help you coach and/or mentor educators.

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
