Description:

Elizabeth Freeman and Jamie Syvrud, as part of CESA 2’s Behavior and Mental Health Center of Excellence, are excited to support CESA 2 schools in their journey of becoming more Trauma Sensitive, and eventually a Trauma Sensitive School (TSS). With support from Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) and Wisconsin Safe and Healthy Schools (WISH), CESA 2 will support school/district teams in learning and planning around TSS development.

Participating teams consist of no more than six (6) team members, including an administrator. Each team will select up to two (2) individuals to serve as leaders for the project; however, all team member will attend all meetings.

For at least the October meeting, teams will complete professional development delivered through online and assigned readings. Each team will establish an action plan related to trauma-sensitive schools. The hope will be to have in-person events for the future dates, but more details will be given to registrants at a later date.

The series will include:

  • 3 half day meeting
  • 2 one hour calls

Price: $875 per team (maximum of 6 members). Pricing will be adjusted after registering; please register everyone in the team at one time or indicate the team members in your group.
