FOUR - PART VIRTUAL SERIES

KRISTINE MRAZ

Expert in Early Childhood Teaching and Learning
and Play-based Child Development

Too often play is set in direct opposition to work, when in reality, play is the engine of learning for children. Teachers, administrators, and coaches join Kristine (Kristi) Mraz for this four-part virtual series and reclaim a playful and joyful spirit by exploring and then teaching the myriad of ways play can be used to facilitate social emotional and academic growth.

  • Examine different types of play and reflect on the balance of play in your classroom / school
  • Become empowered to advocate for and discuss the importance of play with all stakeholders

PART 2:  CREATING A CLASSROOM THAT INVITES AND FOSTERS PLAY: THE CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENT

  • Explore the emotional environment: creating a playful and caring culture

PART 3:  PLAY WORKSHOP: ROUTINES & PROCEDURES TO SUPPORT PLAYERS
