Keynote | August 10
Monday Keynote: Rhonda Nese, PhD is an assistant professor in the Department of Special Education and Clinical Sciences at the University of Oregon and a Principal Investigator within Educational and Community Supports. Dr. Nese provides technical assistance to teams across the nation on preventative practices, including addressing implicit bias in school discipline, effective classroom behavior management strategies, bullying prevention, and alternatives to exclusionary discipline practices through the OSEP-funded National TA-Center on PBIS.

Tuesday Keynote: Ami Flammini has brought extended and varied experiences in the field of social work for 25 years; 15 years of experience working in rural and urban schools and 10 years of experience training and consulting with schools emphasizing positive school culture designed to support our most vulnerable youth. Her out of the box thinking to identify and then move beyond perceived obstacles is crucial to her role at Midwest PBIS Network. Ami also leads her team integrating trauma-informed practices within a multi-tiered system of supports and is a strong advocate for educator self-care. She loves yoga.
