The Next Generation Science Standards are Coming

With the release of the Framework for K-12 Science Education by the National Academies of Science, the new national science standards are being designed by Achieve, Inc. The framework provides the architecture and is the guiding document that Achieve is using to develop these new national standards. Shelley Lee of the Department of Public Instruction will talk about the framework design, the standards development process, and the impact these documents will have on K-16 science education in Wisconsin. All participants will receive a copy of the Framework for K-12 Science Education to take back to their school.

Cost: $15 per participant from SIS School Districts: Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine, Bowler,
Crandon, Crivitz, Florence, Goodman-Armstrong Creek, Menominee Indian,
Niagara, Suring, Wabeno, and White Lake.

$30 per participant for all other districts

Breakfast will be served from 7:45-8:00 AM
