ACCESS for ELs scores have many potential uses, from determining student placement to guiding instruction. This workshop is designed to assist in interpreting ACCESS scores to assist in data-based decision-making. Attendees should come with copies of or have online access to the most recent ACCESS for ELs score reports.

Workshop objectives:

  • Prepare school staff to effectively analyze ACCESS data

  • Learn about the WIDA Standards and Can Do Descriptors

  • Understand how the data can be used to differentiate and plan instruction for ELs

Who should attend?

  • Any staff working with ELs

  • Teams are encouraged to attend

Cost:

CESA 6 Title III Consortium members  

$100 per participant

CESA 6 Immigrant Grant Districts

fee is covered by the grant

Up to a total of 6 staff members for specific CESA 6 Language & Culture Center Workshops (Getting Started with English Learners, Successfully Working with Interpreters/Translators, Sheltering Instructions for English Learners: Implementing SIOP, Interpreting ACCESS Score Reports to Guide Instruction & Plan Supports, Creating Individual Language Plans, and Technology to Support ELs)

All other districts, $150 per participant

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable).Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.
