Description
Despite being one of the most critical elements of success of students with disabilities, too often special education teachers and paraprofes-
sionals do not have the time to develop a collaborative and productive working relationship prior to students walking through the door.

During this workshop, you will connect with your team and learn together around the following topics:

  • Deciphering alphabet soup of special education
  • Clarifying para/teacher roles and responsibilities of each
  • Effective communication
  • Effective scheduling to cover IEP needs
  • Supporting disability-related needs, both academic and functional
  • Action planning for the upcoming school year

Presenters: Paula Heun , Director of Special Education and Junko Jacobs, Director - Student Services Leadership and Learning Center (SSLLC)

Registration Fee: $185 per person. Includes materials , light breakfast and lunch .

Cancellation Policy: Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable). Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued.  Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs. Note: Cancellation policies are subject to change based on event.
