Training Content Will Include Overview of:

  • Indicator #6: Best practices in determining Least Restrictive Environment law and environmental coding practice (September & October sessions only).
  • Indicator #7: Reporting procedures and timelines, assessment of children’s everyday functioning, the outcomes rating process, and data entry.
  • Indicator #12: The transition process, including elements of policy, best practice, interagency agreements, new timeline requirements and PPS reporting.

AUDIENCE:  All LEA personnel who are involved with the State Performance Plan early childhood indicators #6 Preschool Environments, #7 Child Outcomes or #12 B-3 Transition. This includes Early Childhood Special Education Teachers, Speech/Language Pathologists, Psychologists, Diagnosticians, data entry personnel and Directors of Special Education. This training will especially benefit new staff or those staff who were unable to attend the Spring 2011
EC Indicator Trainings.

COST:  Costs covered by DPI’s IDEA Preschool and IDEA Regional Services Network (RSN) Discretionary Grants.

Preschool SettingsPercent of preschool children with IEPs who receive services with typically developing peers
Preschool Outcomespercent of preschool children who demonstrate improved social/emotional, knowledge/language and behavior skills
Early Childhood Transitionpercent of eligible children referred by Part C to Part B who have IEPs completed by 3rd birthday
CANCELLATION POLICY: Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the scheduled date to receive a refund or avoid invoicing. CESA 8 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 8 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. Registered participants not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 8 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment or inclement weather. Participants will be notified via email through myQuickReg.com if a cancellation occurs. DIETARY ACCOMMODATIONS: Due to varied dietary restrictions, CESA 8 cannot guarantee that all special dietary accommodations can be met.
