This session serves as an overview of the shifts in the new Wisconsin ELA standards. In addition, we will be offering grade-banded sessions on November 30 and December 3 where we will dig deeper into the specific changes of grade-level standards and what implications that will have in the classroom.

This will be a virtual meeting held from 9:00 am-12:00 pm.

Learning Outcomes

  • Familiarize yourself with the newly adopted changes to the Wisconsin ELA standards.
  • Understand the vertical progression of the standards.
  • Discuss with colleagues the level of rigor within a grade-level standard and what proficiency would look like.

This workshop is offered at no additional cost to those districts participating in Universal School Improvement Services including Abbotsford, Augusta, Bloomer, Bruce, Chippewa Falls, Colby, Eleva-Strum, Flambeau, Gilman, Gilmanton, Granton, Greenwood, Ladysmith, Lake Holcombe, Loyal, Mondovi, Neillsville, New Auburn, Osseo-Fairchild, Owen-Withee, Spencer, and Thorp.  (Discount will be automatically applied.)

The cost for all other participants will be $500 per workshop.
