The 2020-21 challenge is daunting: maintain your sanity while ensuring the highest
possible learning outcomes for all students in the midst of a pandemic. We’re here to help!
The large-group, plenary session of this FREE, ONLINE training event will deepen your understanding and expand your skills around the full role of assessment in the learning process. Breakaway sessions will provide targeted strategies to meet your content area-specific needs.
This opportunity is designed for school-based teams of 4–12 teacher-leaders and administrators working side by side to improve academic outcomes for all students. All team members must register individually.
The topics by event for this year’s Leading for Learning Series are:
- August: Cultivate the conditions for learning in-person or virtually
- October: Plan and deliver high-quality, standards-based instruction
- January: Plan and use assessment of and for learning
- April: Use reflection and data to communicate about learning and to plan forward
All learning sessions will be virtual, with the possibility of flexible participation options. Dates have not changed. Speakers will be DPI staff with expertise in teaching and learning. Teams are still encouraged to attend to learn and plan together, and the series is open to all Wisconsin public school educators, even if they didn’t attend last year.
