Has your district adopted new curriculum materials, or are you considering adoption in the near future? Often districts struggle with implementation of new curriculum. Reasons for this may include educators’ understanding of why the curriculum was selected, what high-quality implementation looks like, what teachers will use for assessment and instructional materials, and what ongoing support for implementation involves.

The next steps of implementation are just as critical as the adoption process. Join us at CESA 5 for this one day workshop to make a plan for implementing your new materials, regardless of where your team is in the process of adoption.

Goals for this workshop include:

  • Exploring your beliefs and expectations of use, including identification of barriers

  • Understanding implementation components including planning

  • Determining plans for grading, assessment, and use of instructional materials

  • Establishing a plan for teacher and admin training and ongoing professional development and support

  • Communicating roles and responsibilities to support implementation

  • Establishing timelines for full implementation

  • Developing a plan for ongoing monitoring and adjustment of the implementation process

Audience: District teams to include administrators, curriculum decision-makers, professional development planners, teacher-leaders, and others wanting to learn more about the process

Registration Fee: $25 for CESA 5 School Improvement Services Members
