HELD AT CESA 1 WITH LIVE BROADCAST TO ALL PARTICIPATING CESAS (please choose which CESA you will view the broadcast during registration)

Workshop Learning Objectives

•Increased understanding of the CCR-IEP 5 Step Process (focus on steps 1 & 2), with an emphasis on students with autism and those with emotional/behavioral disabilities.

•Application of Steps 1 and 2 of the Five Step Process to support teams in developing IEPs designed to improve access, engagement, and progress for students.

•Practice using root cause analysis to identify disability related needs of students in the areas of social emotional learning, including social communication, sensory processing, self-regulation, flexibility, resilience, and executive functioning.

•Identify strategies to use in preparing for and participating in IEP team meetings.

• Awareness of CCR-IEP resources

Preparation for the Workshop

Participants are encouraged to review each of the Five Step Process Webinars or other resources (e.g. at a glance documents) available on the WI DPI CCR IEP Learning Resources web page

In addition, participants are strongly encouraged to attend in groups of at least two from the same district. Each participant must bring a copy of a student’s IEP* to use as reference or have access to an IEP online to use during the training.

*Workshop participants are reminded of FERPA protections and are highly encouraged to redact personally identifiable information from IEPs they may happen to share with participants from other districts during workshop activities.

Note: If you are a nursing mother, please be sure to include that in the notes of your registration. We have a private room available for nursing mothers, which must be reserved. The key can be obtained from Emily at the front desk when you arrive.

It's that time of the year where the unpredictable weather outdoors makes our training rooms either too cold or too warm. Training room temperatures are controlled offsite and often take time before the adjustment is noticed. We suggest bringing a sweater, wearing close-toed shoes and/or dressing in layers to assure you are as comfortable as possible while at our facility.
