A successful co-teaching partnership in the 21st Century requires a clear understanding of the unique components and practices of this approach.  Co-teaching, generally speaking, refers to a regular education teacher and a special education teacher teaming together to provide instruction in an inclusive classroom of students with diverse needs.  Participants will learn about the commitment required to ensure the effectiveness of this method and to enhance instructional outcomes.  

During this one-day introductory workshop to co-teaching, participants will learn co-teaching basics such as: 

  • purpose and benefits of co-teaching partnerships to support all students
  • definitions and models associated with co-teaching
  • necessary components and characteristics of co-teaching practices *co-teaching roles and responsibilities
  • various collaboration and co-planning tools

This training is for anyone new to co-teaching including: co-teaching pairs, special education teachers, regular education teachers, EL teachers, instructional coaches, administrators.

Registration Fees

$100 for CESA 5 School Improvement Services Members
$150 for Non-Members

*Cost includes one-day workshop and lunch.

 

 

 

 

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
