Overall description of the series: Come deepen your understanding of early childhood mathematics. Sessions feature activities you can use the next day with your students and each are grounded in developmental learning trajectories for early childhood mathematics. Each session will be presented in an engaging, interactive format. The second session will build upon the first, though can be taken independently.
Workshop Objectives:
- Participants will understand the developmental mathematics learning trajectories.
- Partipants will gain child-centered, developmentally appropriate instructional practices.
- Particpants will explore strategies that nurture young children’s joy and curiosity in mathematics.
This workshop is offered at no additional cost to those districts participating in Universal School Improvement Services including Abbotsford, Augusta, Bloomer, Bruce, Chippewa Falls, Colby, Eleva-Strum, Flambeau, Gilman, Gilmanton, Granton, Greenwood, Ladysmith, Lake Holcombe, Loyal, Mondovi, Neillsville, New Auburn, Osseo-Fairchild, Owen-Withee, Spencer, and Thorp. (Discount will be automatically applied.)
The cost for all other participants will be $500 per workshop.
