Designed for all teachers, particularly those who support special education students in an inclusion or co-teaching setting, the day will focus on strategies and practices to ramp up expectations for all students. We’ll start by debunking myths about intelligence, shifting mindsets, and learning ways to help students overcome low achievement and effort, lack of agency, and learned helplessness. Attendees will leave with practical tips and tools to begin coaching students immediately upon their return to school. The day will end with a focus on building students’ employability skills and opportunities available through the school-to-work program.
Participant Cancellation Policy: You must contact CESA #3 at least one week prior to the scheduled event to cancel and receive a full refund of your registration fee. Cancellations not received at least one week prior to the registered event will be charged the full registration fee. CESA #3 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot.
