In this course, you will learn the history of reading instruction and educational reform, as well as what it means to be a fluent reader.  You will learn theories and strategies, including utilizing graphic organizers, question-answer relationships, and think-alouds, which will allow you to support students who struggle to read.  You will become familiar with the Common Core State Standards for literacy and learn to implement them in the CTE classroom, as well as integrating them into the assignments and activities you provide your students to enhance their reading skills.

Note: It may take 1-2 business days to receive course log in information from Dr. Williams.
